Grand Seiko Elegance SBGM257 39.5 mm

The Elegance SBGM257 gives a polished, travel-minded shape to Grand Seiko's mechanical language. Its 39.5 mm stainless-steel case measures 14.1 mm thick and 46.9 mm from lug to lug, with a polished dial beneath box-shaped sapphire. A screw-down crown, LumiBrite and a see-through back add practical substance, while the alligator-leather strap keeps the presentation formal. The date and GMT indications make its purpose immediately clear.

Power comes from the in-house 9S66, an automatic calibre with bidirectional winding, hand-winding, hacking seconds and 35 jewels. It runs at 28,800 vph and stores 72 hours of power in one barrel. The movement uses a free-sprung balance, a MEMS-manufactured Swiss-lever escapement and a flat SPRON hairspring, with six-position testing and a stated accuracy of +5/-3s/day. It is the GMT expression of the 9S mechanical family within the Elegance collection.
