Grand Seiko Sport SBGM247 40.5 mm

The Sport SBGM247 combines a 40.5 mm stainless-steel case with a fixed ceramic bezel and a 200-metre water-resistance rating. Its 14.4 mm thickness, 48.6 mm lug-to-lug span and 180 g weight give the watch a powerful physical presence, reinforced by a solid caseback and screw-down crown. Sapphire crystal and LumiBrite support the practical specification, while the date and GMT indications make its dual-time purpose explicit within the Sport collection.

The in-house 9S66 is an automatic calibre with bidirectional winding, hand-winding, hacking seconds and 35 jewels. It runs at 28,800 vph and stores 72 hours of power in one barrel, with six-position testing and stated accuracy of +5/-3s/day. Its MEMS-manufactured Swiss-lever escapement, free-sprung balance and flat SPRON hairspring give the movement meaningful technical definition. In the Sport family, this is the mechanical three-day GMT expression of the 9S architecture.
