Silver gives the Ingenieur Automatic 40 IW328902 a brighter expression of IWC's revived engineering collection. The stainless-steel case and bracelet form a continuous silhouette around a grid-finished dial, where black applied baton markers with Super-LumiNova provide the contrast. Five functional screws mark the fixed bezel, and the convex, double-sided antireflective sapphire crystal keeps the surface legible while retaining its clean profile.

The 40mm case measures 10.7mm thick and stretches 45.7mm from lug to lug, a balanced footprint for the collection's integrated-bracelet architecture. Automatic calibre 32111 supplies a date and 120 hours of power reserve, alongside hours, minutes and central seconds. Its solid caseback, screw-down crown and 100m water resistance make the active reference as practical as its grid dial suggests.
