The Orion 301 is a 35 mm stainless-steel watch with a 7.4 mm height and 45 mm lug-to-lug measurement. A white dial, tempered-blue steel hands and leather strap give the case a clean, gently formal outline, with the power-reserve display providing the only additional indication. Its 50-metre water resistance supports the uncomplicated proportions without changing the Orion's restrained visual character.
The hand-wound Alpha calibre is NOMOS's first in-house hand-wound architecture. It measures 23.3 mm by 2.6 mm, contains 17 jewels, runs at 21,600 vph and stores 43 hours of power. The movement has the NOMOS swing system, stop seconds and six-position adjustment. Its Glashütte three-quarter plate with ribbing, rhodium-plated surfaces with NOMOS perlage and tempered blue screws give the calibre a finely structured finish behind the solid caseback.
