Grand Seiko Heritage SBGH281 40 mm

The Heritage SBGH281 combines a 40 mm stainless-steel case with the visual weight of a Hi-Beat watch. Its 13.3 mm thickness and 46.2 mm lug-to-lug span create a purposeful profile, while dual-curved sapphire, LumiBrite and a see-through caseback keep the specification highly practical. The round case is rated to 100 metres, and the power-reserve indication adds useful information. It is a limited edition within the Heritage collection.

The in-house 9S85 is an automatic Hi-Beat 36000 calibre with 37 jewels, one barrel and a 55-hour power reserve. Its 36,000 vph frequency gives the movement its defining technical character, alongside hand-winding and hacking seconds. Grand Seiko states an accuracy of +5/-3 and identifies the Grand Seiko Standard among its credentials. The SBGH281 therefore expresses the Heritage line through a high-frequency 9S architecture rather than through additional complications.
