The Pilot Watches IW388111 concentrates IWC's chronograph design into a 41mm stainless-steel case. Its black dial and black calfskin strap create a focused aviation instrument, with the see-through caseback adding depth behind the display. Sapphire protects the dial, and the screw-down crown preserves the purposeful outline while the active reference's smaller diameter gives the large family a more contained wrist presence.

Automatic calibre 69385 supplies chronograph timing alongside day, date and small seconds, using a column-wheel control system and automatic pawl winding. The movement has 33 jewels, beats at 4Hz and offers 46 hours of power reserve. At 14.5mm thick, the case remains substantial despite its 41mm width; 100m water resistance and the EasX-CHANGE leather strap complete its practical character.
