IW500901 gives the Pilot's Watches collection a broad, long-running presence. The 46.2 mm stainless-steel case and black dial create a generous field for the central time display and power-reserve indication, while the black alligator-leather strap keeps the large format grounded. Its solid caseback and 60-metre water resistance support a practical, substantial interpretation of the pilot watch.

At the centre is IWC calibre 51111, an in-house automatic movement using Pellaton winding. Its 38.2 mm diameter fills the large case convincingly, with 42 jewels and 311 components working at a 3 Hz frequency. The single barrel delivers 168 hours of power reserve, and the movement also provides a date display. The result is a watch whose visual scale is matched by genuine mechanical autonomy.
