IWC Portugieser IW501702 42.4 mm Silver Dial

IW501702 refines the Portugieser Automatic's long-reserve formula with a silver dial, blue alligator-leather strap and a 42.4 mm stainless-steel case. The colour contrast is restrained but deliberate, giving the watch a more individual identity while preserving the collection's open, formal architecture. A see-through back reveals the movement, and the 50-metre water resistance gives this substantial watch some welcome daily flexibility.

Calibre 52011 is an in-house automatic movement built on calibre 52010 architecture. Two barrels provide 168 hours of power reserve, while the 38.2 mm movement contains 249 components and 31 jewels. It operates at 4 Hz and displays small seconds, date and power reserve. Bevelled edges, blued screws, Côtes de Genève, circular graining and an 18-carat gold medallion on the rotor give the visible mechanism a considered finish.
