Luminox ICE-SAR Watches
Luminox ICE-SAR has an Icelandic search-and-rescue association and a large, angular appearance. That case shape is central to the appeal, so decide whether you want that much visual presence before concentrating on the smaller details.

Luminox ICE-SAR buying guide
The 45 mm choice
XL.1083 uses a 45 mm CARBONOX case with a nitrile rubber strap. It has a Swiss quartz movement, sapphire crystal and a 200 m water rating. This is a substantial-looking watch; there is little reason to choose it just for its association if the case design does not appeal to you.
Compare a quieter direction
Atacama Field offers a 43 mm example with a clearer field-watch emphasis. Original Navy SEAL is another route to a 43 mm composite case. Those comparisons help establish whether it is the ICE-SAR shape you want or simply a Luminox sport watch.
